If you're on a Luma subscription, or thinking about joining one, it's worth knowing exactly what comes with it beyond the per-class rate. Class packs carry no perks. Every subscription does. And on a 12-month plan, the perks add up to considerably more than the saving on the headline price.

Perks on every subscription
Whether you're on a 3-month or 12-month plan, and whatever your class frequency, every Luma subscription includes the following.
Guest pass. Bring someone new to Luma for a complimentary class. Guests must be new to Luma. All 3-month plans include 1 guest pass per 3 months. 12-month plans include 2 to 4 per year depending on your tier. It's the simplest way to introduce a friend, partner, or colleague to the practice without them having to commit to the intro offer first.
Birthday credit. One free class credit added to your account each year. No admin required on your part.
Webshop discount. 10% off everything in the Luma webshop on a 3-month plan. 15% on a 12-month plan.
Early access to workshops and retreats. Subscribers get priority access before the general public. 3-month subscribers get 24 hours early access; 12-month subscribers get 48 hours. For Luma retreats and popular workshops, which fill quickly, this window makes a real difference.
Subscribers Event. Twice a year, an event exclusively for subscribers. Format varies. 3-month subscribers can attend if their plan is active at the time of the event. 12-month subscribers are covered for both events as long as their plan remains active. Worth showing up for.
Additional perks on 12-month plans
A 12-month commitment unlocks a second layer of perks that 3-month plans don't include.
Price lock. Your per-class rate is fixed for the full 12 months. If Luma's prices increase during your contract year, you continue paying the rate you joined at. For long-term members, this compounds quietly in the background and becomes more valuable the longer you stay.
Private check-ins. A dedicated one-to-one session with one of our instructors to review your technique, work through anything specific to your body, and make sure your practice is moving in the right direction. 4-class and 6-class 12-month plans include 1 private check-in per year. 8-class and above include 2 per year. To book yours, email the studio and we'll arrange a time. Private session rates start at £90 as a standalone.
Grip socks. One pair of Luma grip socks included in your first month.
One free freeze per year. If life gets in the way, your first pause each year is free for up to 8 weeks. Additional pauses are available at £20 each with 48 hours notice. On a 3-month plan, all pauses are £20. The free freeze is a 12-month perk only.

What the perks are actually worth
The discount and guest passes are easy to value. The others are worth spelling out.
A 1:1 private session at Luma starts at £90. On an 8-class or higher 12-month plan, you get two private check-ins per year included. That's £180 of one-to-one instruction built into your membership before anything else is counted.
Four guest passes at the standard drop-in rate of £30 each is £120 in complimentary classes for people new to Luma. If you've been meaning to bring someone along, this is how to do it without either of you paying.
The free freeze is the perk that matters most in the moments you don't expect. An injury, a holiday, a month that just doesn't work out. Knowing your subscription pauses without a fee removes the pressure that makes people cancel rather than pause. Additional pauses cost £20 each, so one free per year covers the most common scenario.
The price lock works quietly in your favour. Luma is a small studio with a high instructor-to-client ratio, and our pricing reflects the quality of what we offer. If prices increase during your year, you're insulated from it. The longer you stay, the more this matters.
None of these perks are available on a class pack.

Do subscription perks carry over if I don't use them? Guest passes and private check-ins are valid for the subscription year and expire at renewal. Birthday credits are added annually. Use them.
Can I use a guest pass for someone who's been to Luma before? No. Guest passes are for clients who are new to Luma only.
